00:00In order to improve the communication between the government and the people of Nagarkot,
00:04in fact, to make a non-custodial relationship,
00:07a small effort has been made, Coffee with SDM.
00:11And here, coffee is just a symbolic thing.
00:14We do offer coffee to everyone who is invited,
00:17but the concept of coffee here is that whenever someone comes to our house,
00:22to our office, we offer coffee, tea or water to them as a friend.
00:27This way, the other person feels a little closer to us.
00:30But when we sit down for coffee for 15 to 20 minutes,
00:34the other person does not feel uncomfortable.
00:38He feels that this is a person among us.
00:40So, there is a gap in the so-called protocol,
00:45that we are an officer, we are the general public, so how should we talk?
00:49So, that hesitation is removed when you sit at the round table and drink coffee.
00:53So, regarding this, what we do is that every week,
00:57we invite different stakeholders from different social groups.
01:03As we started, we invited the elders in the first round.
01:08Then in the second round, we invited the farmers of the area.
01:10Then in the third round, we invited the farmers of the area.
01:13Then we invited the auto rickshaw drivers.
01:16Just two days ago, we invited the parents of the children with thalassemia in the area.
01:27We asked them what problems they are facing and what suggestions they can give.
01:31We asked them what they think is the role of the administration, the district administration,
01:35and the hospital management.
01:40And with what expectations are they looking at us?
01:43So, what happens with that is that we know our strengths, we know our weaknesses,
01:47and we know where the gaps are to fill them.
01:53And along with that, the trust in the public towards the administration also increases,
02:01that we are being talked to so intimately, in such an informal way, with a person.
02:09So, we can say that the job of the district administration is to maintain harmony with all the social groups,
02:16and to maintain a peaceful and good system in the district.
02:21Also, the government's schemes should be in the right form,
02:25and should be able to reach the people in the way the government wants,
02:30and should be able to get the right feedback.
02:32So, this is the small effort that is carried out every Wednesday for an hour.
02:37And so far, five hours have been completed.
02:39And in this way, the plan is that we will continue this in the future.
