00:00So, Dan, looking at Cameron Pring now, he's obviously played 21 out of the 25, 26 games
00:07that Bristol City have played in the Championship this season. So quite an integral part of
00:12Liam Manning's plans to get them over the line this season. He's played a big part.
00:17He's out with a muscle injury at the moment. I mean, how important could that be? And is
00:23there any sort of update from the injury room? You know, this sort of time of the season,
00:27you want to keep your squad as fit as you can. You want to have as many numbers as you
00:31can as well, so you can really make a difference in the running and be so fit and positive
00:36if you are to make the playoff places and the playoff race, which is obviously, as we
00:40mentioned, so tightly contested. So what's the sort of latest from the Bristol City injury
00:45room?
00:46Well, I think given it's a hamstring injury and obviously it's a muscle injury, you never
00:50want to rush players back too quickly because there's such a risk of a reoccurrence of that
00:56injury. And so it probably will be a few weeks. I think that's what's been stated by Liam
01:00Manning and the club. Of course, the injury came in the 2-2 draw against Plymouth Argyle
01:06away from home. And so it is a blow, as you say there, for Bristol City because defensively,
01:14they've been all right this season. I think, although you could criticise them in the sense
01:17that sometimes they don't stay out matches where they're winning and claim the three
01:21points or maybe perhaps even lose the game as well. That's been a frustration, but that
01:27isn't helped any further by losing one of their most integral defenders and someone
01:30who's been a part of their defensive set-up all season. And so perhaps that's somewhere
01:35to look in the January transfer market because it is a few weeks. I mean, it's not like it's
01:40a career or season-ending injury. He will be back this season all being well, but it
01:47is a blow for them because, as I say there, they don't want to be shipping any more goals
01:52in silly titles of games. And as I say, it has been an issue for them. But going forward,
01:58I think it's just a position that they need to fill in the January transfer market, to
02:04be honest. Of course, defenders of that quality will be hard to come by for Bristol City.
02:10They don't have the biggest budget in the world compared to some of the teams in the
02:12championship. But if they can go out into the market, you know, you can look at League
02:17One, you could look at Loan, something to fill in that gap. I think it's just needed,
02:20or even if they don't necessarily have to buy a first team player, someone who can just
02:23replace for the time being. That would do them the world of good. Because as we've already
02:30mentioned previously, they are a team who are knocking on the door of the playoffs and
02:35you don't want to disrupt the rhythm of the team too much when they are getting close
02:39to where they want to be. Liam Manning's always said how much quality they have in the side
02:42and then to lose a quality player like that at such an important part of the season, it's
02:47a huge blow. And so, as I say there, I think that will now affect their transfer business
02:53in the month of January. Although having said that, I think goal scoring options will also
02:59be necessary.
