00:00Meanwhile, a tragedy took place in the Southeast Asian multi-medalist Mervyn Guarte.
00:07This happened after a 33-year-old athlete was shot by an unknown suspect.
00:15According to the police report, Guarte was sleeping in the living room of their barangay counselor, Dante Albo,
00:21in Calapan City, Oriental, Mindoro.
00:24When the suspect entered the house, the victim was stabbed.
00:29Guarte asked for help from an athlete and was immediately taken to the hospital,
00:33where he was brought back to life.
00:35Mervyn is a member of the Philippine Obstacle Course Racing Team and Philippine Athletics Team.
00:41She was a national athlete when she won two gold medals in the Southeast Asian Games
00:49in 2023 and 2019, and silver medals in the 2011 SEA Games.
00:55Meanwhile, justice for Mervyn Guarte is the cry of netizens and other athletes.
