00:00So well, I switched out to the new Strixon driver this year. I've been using the Strixon driver
00:07since 2019, so this is my third different model of it, so I feel like every year they keep getting
00:11better. The two fairway woods I've had, I've had for four or five years at this stage, so I don't
00:17like changing my equipment too much. My irons, I put them in at the end of last year, it's just
00:23a new model iron that Strixon have come out with. I think they're pretty similar to last year's,
00:28if anything, they're probably feeling a little bit more solid. Yeah, like I said, I don't like
00:31changing my equipment too much, so when I find something I like, I like to keep it. What happens
00:35when one of the guys comes up with new equipment and he wants to buy a new driver, what happens
00:40then? Do you give it a go? So if it's a new, if Strixon come out with a new product, I'll do my
00:44absolute best to get it in the bag and I'm generally pretty good at it and they know that.
00:48So there hasn't been a time since I've started using the Strixon driver that I've struggled to
00:52get in the bag, so hopefully they can keep coming out with good drivers and I can use them.
00:56What about your wedge line-up? See, my wedge line-up, I just carry, I carry three, a pitchum
01:00wedge, but that's part of the set, but I carry a gap wedge, it's a 50 degree bent 51 and I've got
01:05a 58 degree full face Cleveland wedge, so it's, there's a big gap there, but I try putting in a
01:13sand wedge, like a 55 or 56 degree and I find it takes away the feel from me a little bit and I
01:20end up hitting every shot full out, whereas when I've got that gap, I can kind of play around with
01:24it a little bit more and be creative and that's how I like it. And do you tweak with the line-up
01:30as a whole too much on a wig like this? Never, no, this is my, this has been my, this has been my
01:35setup for a few years now. I had a two iron, I would have had a two iron in the bag in Portrush,
01:41but to be honest, the new long irons, the three iron is as good as a two iron and you know, I can
01:46hit that low and it goes pretty good, so there's no, there's no point having a two iron that goes
01:51five or ten yards further, you just, you know, I've got a five wood and a three wood and what's
01:55your longest iron is a three iron, yeah. Is that quite rare these days to players, many players
02:00hitting three iron? I would say yeah, but the way they build clubs now, they're designed to hit in
02:04the air, like that three iron, I can hit really in the air, but I can also hit really low as well
02:08like a stinger shot with it, it goes pretty good in the wind, so that bag line-up there,
02:13the exact same every week, yeah. I don't know when you're playing in America, Nick? Well,
02:18I played in America two weeks ago and that's what it is, so yeah. And what's it like being in
02:22Florida, I remember speaking to you a couple of years ago. Yeah, I like it, it's great, look,
02:25it's a great way of life down there. To be honest, I feel like it's helped improve my game, I spend a
02:30lot of time with world-class players down there playing golf and yeah, it's a great place to
02:36practice, you know, I think I love Ireland and I love being there and I'd love to live there, but
02:41I just can't get done in Ireland like you get done in Florida, so I hadn't been home since Christmas,
02:47I got back last week for the first time, so yeah, I don't get home as much as I would like.
02:51Cool, there's going to be a lot of demands on your time now you're back in the UK this week,
02:55thanks for speaking to us. Thanks for having me.
