00:00Preparations for the Sinulog Festival are in full swing with banners installed around the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and Osmeña Boulevard.
00:10Cebu City has imposed a liquor and entertainment ban within a 300-meter radius of procession and parade routes on January 18-19 to ensure safety.
00:21Mayor Raymond Garcia, hosting his first Sinulog as mayor, highlighted crowd control as a priority and confirmed invitations sent to national officials.
00:31Security personnel will soon undergo a send-off as organizers and the LGU ensure safety for the expected influx of tourists and devotees.
00:41This is my first Sinulog as mayor of the city of Cebu and I want to make sure that it will be safe, it will be orderly and that there's not much untoward incidents that could happen or minor.
00:53So we are really preparing, especially crowd control, which is a very big issue for us now.
