00:00The city of Prayagrath is a very strange city, there is so much peace here.
00:15When Lord Hanuman came here, he lay down here.
00:19So, it is a city of peace.
00:20People follow the traditions very strictly.
00:26So, the cultural relevance here is so important and so good that people get lost in it.
00:32There are some lines of Dharamveer Bharti, that how can a city be so beautiful?
00:37Apart from this, the city must have been built by a romantic deity.
00:40There are wide roads from Lucknow, narrow streets from Banaras.
00:43So, everything is there in itself.
00:45This is Sangam.
00:46I have written some lines of my own.
00:48I will tell you how the glory of this city is.
00:52If this city wasn't there, then there wouldn't have been a woman who breaks stones for Nirala,
00:56a poet for Bachchanji, a poet for English professor Prayag for Urdu,
01:01a poet for Mahadevi,
01:03and there wouldn't have been a Latin for Akbar Allahabadi.
01:05The songs of Dushyant wouldn't have been sung,
01:08the gajal would have been taken out of the sea,
01:10and Kailash Gautam would have been lost in some fair.
01:12If this city wasn't there, then where would have been the first yajna of Brahma?
01:15And where would have been the Rishikul built today?
01:17How would the world meet in Goa?
01:19Who would have given advice to Maryadapur Shottam Ram in Treta?
01:23Even if this had happened somewhere, how would the great poets of the century have been born?
01:27If this city wasn't there, then what would have happened?
01:29A lot would have been lost in Hindi.
01:31We wouldn't have got so many revolutionary ideas,
01:33we wouldn't have worshipped so intensely,
01:35we wouldn't have spent our afternoons eating Chokha Dal Bhat.
01:39This city is the answer to all these questions.
01:42Allahabad.
01:50Sangam is not just a union of two rivers,
01:53it is not just a union of three rivers.
01:55The cultural relevance of Sangam is very important here.
01:58Its archaeological relevance is very important.
02:00There are a lot of stories that travel here that you should know.
02:03There is a story here,
02:05that when the two rivers met,
02:07when Mother Ganga met Yamuna,
02:09she asked,
02:11what gift will you give me?
02:13Mother Yamuna said,
02:15tell me what do you want?
02:17She surrendered herself.
02:19From there, Ganga and Yamuna meet,
02:21and Saraswati meets there.
02:23Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge.
02:25From there, this Sangam area was formed.
02:27One of the most sacred places in the world.
02:29So, Sangam Nagri is not just a city of Sangam,
02:33Sangam is a city of a lot of things.
02:35And this is the city of Madhavs.
02:37If we talk about Madhavs' city,
02:39after the order of Lord Brahma,
02:41Lord Vishnu appeared here in the form of 12 Madhavs.
02:45Nagar Kotwal is the temple of Shri Bade Harman Ji,
02:48which is situated on the banks of Sangam.
02:50Daraganj is the temple of Vedi Madhav,
02:52who is our Nagar Devta.
02:54So, there is a saying,
02:56and people also say that,
02:58Nagar Devta is worshipped before the Kumbh Mela.
03:01And the entire fair,
03:03Vedi Madhav lives in the entire fair.
03:05And they are responsible for the security of the fair.
03:07So, since ancient times,
03:09whenever we talk about the history of Kumbh Mela,
03:11or the history of Mahamela,
03:13or any incident that has happened on a large scale,
03:19it is said that,
03:21Vedi Madhav is behind all this.
03:23The first university in the world was established in Prayag,
03:26which was established by Maharishi Bharadwaj.
03:28Around 10,000 students studied there at that time.
03:32And when Maryadapur's Suttam Ram came from Ayodhya,
03:35Maharishi Bharadwaj advised him to go to Chitrakoot.
03:39And there is another story,
03:42that the people of that area,
03:44the people living nearby,
03:46consider themselves to be the descendants of Maharishi Bharadwaj.
03:48So, those traditions are still going on.
03:50Like, in the entire world,
03:52or everywhere in India,
03:54there is a Ravan festival,
03:56but not in the area of Katra.
03:58Because there is a story,
04:00that Ravan's grandfather used to write.
04:02And Ramji had killed Ravan.
04:04So, this story starts from there.
04:06Because he was accused.
04:08So, the people there don't burn it.
04:10So, it doesn't start from Ram's birth, but from Ravan's birth.
04:12So, this is a very different city.
04:14There are so many stories,
04:16stories in Katra.
04:18So, you won't be able to understand it by looking at it from a distance,
04:20by looking at it digitally.
04:22You will have to come here to know
04:24its essence, its divinity.
04:26So, come to our Prayag Raj.
04:28Welcome all of you.
