00:00Yesterday, Joe, early in the day, the Sixers were a three and a half, four-point favorite as Philly was expecting to see Joe Embiid.
00:08He was ruled out. Line flips to Phoenix, trying to snap a four-game slide.
00:13They close as a slight road favorite inside Philadelphia.
00:17And that's exactly what ended up happening.
00:20The Suns win by double digits, 109-99 in Philly.
00:25Again, covering as a slight one-and-a-half-point favorite, snapping a four-game losing skid.
00:30The Suns had also entered last night in Philadelphia, dropping 7 of their last 8, 10 of their last 13,
00:37and it only covered three times in that 13-game span.
00:41So a win and a cover last night that was dramatic.
00:45Why? Because of the availability and status of one of the Suns' stars, Bradley Beal.
00:51Team high, 25 points off the bench, coming off the bench for the first time in nine years.
00:58Yeah, which was an interesting move, but something had to be done there with Phoenix on a four-game skid.
01:06And, you know, Booker hadn't helped since his return here.
01:11So it felt like a team that was trying to find any sort of combination to get something positive out of a game.
01:18And really, maybe the best thing to happen in that game was learning that Embiid was going to be sidelined there with the foot sprain.
01:25And that was enough to motivate Phoenix to get out there on the road in a tough environment
01:31and actually win a game and break that losing streak.
01:34So kudos to them. I still don't trust Phoenix, though.
01:37And how can you? They're 16-18 on the season.
