00:00There is a lot of talk these days about the human metamorphosis virus.
00:06People are panicking a little bit.
00:11I want to say that there is no need to panic.
00:14This virus is a virus that causes respiratory infection.
00:19We have seen some serious cases in China,
00:23but there is no need to panic.
00:27We have seen some serious cases in India this year.
00:32This virus can cause serious infections in young children,
00:37elderly people, people with low immunity,
00:41and people with immunocompromised people.
00:45But the maximum number of people who get this virus
00:49are those who have common cold and cough.
00:52The government of India has also issued an advisory
00:55that there is no need to panic.
00:57The state should remain alert.
00:59If there are any serious cases,
01:01if they have severe acute respiratory infection
01:06or influenza-like illness,
01:08if there are cases of ILI and they are admitted,
01:11they should take a sample of all the cases,
01:14especially those who need admission
01:17and those who have respiratory infection.
01:20We need to send their samples for testing to the labs
01:23so that we can see if the cases are the same as last year
01:29or if they are increasing suddenly.
01:31There are no mutations in the virus.
01:34They are trying to isolate the virus and do sequencing.
01:38So there is no need to panic.
01:40Maintain respiratory hygiene.
01:43Wash your hands.
01:45Stay away from people who have cold and cough.
01:48It is better to wear a mask
01:52so that it does not infect anyone else.
01:55And elderly people, especially in crowded places,
01:59who do not know what infection is,
02:01can wear a mask for their own safety.
02:04Do regular hand washing.
02:06Apart from this, there is no need for many precautions.
02:09Just like we took respiratory hygiene precautions in COVID,
02:14we have to do the same.
02:17The main thing is that
02:19if we need to know if the virus is increasing or decreasing,
02:22we need to monitor it.
02:24We need to test the severe cases.
02:28There are designated labs in every state
02:31where testing can be done.
02:33We need to send samples there.
02:35For this, the government has issued directions
02:38to all the states.
02:40The testing labs have been told to all the states
02:44that there is testing in these labs.
02:47In 16 labs, testing is already going on
02:50to provide kits in the other labs.
02:53There are directions for immediate kit provision.
02:58There will be one or two labs in every state
03:01where testing can be done,
03:03especially for severe cases.
03:05There is no need to test for every case of cold and cough.
03:09Only severe cases can be tested.
03:11There is no need to panic.
03:13This has happened before,
03:15and it will continue to happen.
