00:00Blue Origin, the space company of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, is developing a heavy-lift launcher
00:12called New Glenn, far more powerful than the new Shepard rocket used for space tourists.
00:17At 98 meters long, the rocket can carry up to 45 tons into low-Earth orbit.
00:23This is about double the weight of SpaceX Falcon 9 by Elon Musk, but still less than
00:28the Falcon Heavy at 63.8 tons.
00:32New Glenn is an essential component of the lunar landing system ordered by NASA from
00:37Blue Origin for the Artemis V mission.
00:41The launcher will carry the Blue Moon lunar lander, which is 1060 meters high and weighs
00:4645 tons, when filled with propellants, liquid hydrogen, and liquid oxygen.
