00:00This is good news for Senegal and Morocco, a new sea route, Dakar-Agadir, will begin
00:26in February, this line is part of a strategy of regional integration of Morocco, I will
00:32tell you in a few moments.
00:33In the conflict in Gaza, Hamas announced the start of talks in direct with Qatar, Israel
00:42did not react to these statements.
00:44It is the political chaos in the Republic of Korea, the day after an effective attempt
00:51to arrest President Dae-Soo Yoon, thousands of Koreans are expected today in the streets
00:57of Seoul.
00:58We meet again right away to unveil it.
01:02Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, this is good news for Senegal and Morocco.
01:07The British company Atlas Marine launches the new maritime line Agadir-Dakar and promises
01:12to carry out this journey in two and a half days at a competitive price.
01:17However, the price of the trip will have to fluctuate in a fork of 45,000 to 50,000 dirhams
01:23per truck on the way back and must not exceed half of the total cost corresponding to the
01:29terrestrial itinerary.
01:30Solandris Bouti, president of the CGEM Agadir Sous Massa, this line is part of a strategy
01:36of regional integration of Morocco, but could also offer openings for Senegalese products
01:43and services.
01:44A boat with a capacity of 110 trucks with the drivers will make the link once a week
01:49from the month of February next, a second one should be put into service in the spring.
01:55What are the objectives outlined for the success of this project?
02:03Where are the preparations for this initiative at the port of Agadir?
02:08Let's listen to the explanation of Idriss Bouti, president of the CGEM Agadir Sous Massa.
02:13First of all, I would like to thank Médien-TV for this interview to explain a little bit
02:20about all the achievements of this project, it is this initiative that our region has
02:28really needed and for a long time, since the region of Sous Massa is one of the most
02:35important ports in the traffic between Morocco and Africa, since hundreds of trucks leave
02:45every day from our region to all the countries of the Sahel, and so this line has come precisely
02:52to really put in place a new strategy, a new way of logistics and transport to these
03:00countries.
03:01The agreement was signed between this British company and the Sous Massa region to start
03:13this line from the month of February 2025, and this line aims not only to serve Dakar,
03:22but also to serve all the countries of West Africa and also the countries of the Sahel.
03:27This means about 350 million inhabitants in this region, and as you all know,
03:35until today we are going through the terrestrial, today there will be another possibility,
03:40it is the maritime. So today, whether it is the British company that settled
03:46in the city of Agadir for this initiative, there is also to talk with the ANP and Mars
03:54in Morocco to put in place the starting point of this line to Dakar. We have also contacted
04:03the port authorities and the authorities in the Dakar region, so the same thing,
04:11we are in the final phase to actually complete this project.
04:19What are the economic impacts of this new maritime link
04:22intended for development in Africa? Especially since this line plans to serve all the
04:28countries of the Sahel? The answer is with Drix Bouty, President of the AGM Agadir Sous Massa.
04:35Today, Morocco, thanks to His Majesty, has signed several hundred conventions
04:43throughout Africa, but it is up to us today to put them into action
04:50to be able to continue in what Morocco has always been able to do with its countries in the south
04:56and with sub-Saharan Africa. We know the impact of Morocco on everything that is spiritual in these
05:05regions, on the cultural side, on the side also today commercial and economic. And we
05:13would really like today to go towards what His Majesty has always wanted, which is that we
05:20arrive at a full South-South cooperation where everyone is a winner, so in a winning spirit.
05:29And I hope that it will be in the months to come and in the years to come,
05:36we will open all these lines and these perspectives so that our business in these
05:43countries and also our business in the south will be carried out in a truly fraternal spirit.
05:52The tourist sector in Morocco has recorded record figures for the year 2024.
05:57According to the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy,
06:02these figures strengthen the kingdom's reputation as a privileged tourist destination.
06:07Maradjamal Edris Boyoud gives us the story of Alaa Ben Ali.
06:13A new record for Moroccan tourism with 15.9 million arrivals at the end of November 2024.
06:19The increase in the number of visitors is carried by a strong increase in foreign tourists
06:23who have increased by 23% compared to 2023, as well as a robust growth of 17% of Moroccans
06:30living abroad. Internal tourism is not left out, with 30 million nights recorded,
06:36all types of accommodation confused, historical figures according to professionals in the sector.
06:45The year 2024 is one of the tourist feats par excellence. The figures are spectacular at
06:51all levels, whether it is the nights, the income of money. In November 2024,
06:55Morocco was able to collect more than 104 billion dirhams thanks to tourism.
06:59This proves the important dynamics of the tourist sector, which has become the
07:04backbone of our economy. With these figures, 2024 must become a year of reference for the sector.
07:12By playing the world map, Morocco aims to reach the goal of 26 million arrivals
07:17by 2030. An easily achievable goal by developing and renewing hotel infrastructure
07:25and opening up to new tourist markets.
07:30We chose to come here because in Sweden it is very cold at the moment,
07:34and here in Morocco the climate is warm, people are welcoming and warm,
07:38the gastronomy is exquisite, the culture is wonderful and the landscapes are impressive.
07:42We even plan to go to the beach.
07:46It is so attractive that we want to discover it, especially since
07:50there is Cannes that is going to be prepared, there is the World Cup in 2030,
07:53so Morocco is a very, very emerging country. It makes you want to come and settle down and live there.
07:59Even now, we will see, for the moment we are just tourists and then we walk around,
08:02we see good things and it's beautiful, it's a great country.
08:08With a budget of 6.1 billion dirhams, the 2023-2026 roadmap aims to
08:16make Morocco one of the 15 best destinations in the world.
08:22Like several countries in the world, Morocco has seen significant climate change in recent years,
08:29a situation that raises many questions about the causes and measures taken to reduce
08:34their impact on the environment. Younice Mazzi for the lighting in this story by Dina Mbrini.
08:41Living under the rhythm of climate fluctuations is now a reality.
08:46After the World Red Alert issued by the World Meteorological Organization,
08:51experts are alarmed. Morocco, impacted by climate change,
08:57is faced with an unprecedented situation where mercury is breaking extreme records.
09:07We have recently reached a high degree of global warming that has become unbearable.
09:13This is due to a large thermal accumulation from sun rays in the oceans.
09:18This is why mercury reaches too high temperatures.
09:22We are in a new era where water evaporation is unstable and we do not know if these evaporated waters will come back to us.
09:33Climate fluctuations have had a considerable impact on water resources.
09:38This has prompted Morocco to take proactive measures to face the climate challenge.
09:51Climate change is due to the strong activity of humans,
09:54and this impacts the ozone layer and the cycle of precipitation.
09:58This is what causes floods, as we have seen recently in Spain.
10:02If we do not face these natural disasters with radical solutions,
10:06the price we will have to pay will be very high.
10:10Climate is therefore one of the most important areas to study,
10:14especially with the emergence of new climate fluctuations and phenomena.
10:19Thanks to new technologies, the purchase of online drugs has become a fast and practical alternative.
10:26However, this service can be a danger to users' health if the drugs do not come from reliable sources.
10:33Salwa El Kheloui and Younes El Moussouri, for more information, and Anna Benany for the story.
10:41In recent years, Morocco has seen a significant increase in online drug sales.
10:46This trend offers accessibility and comfort,
10:49but professionals are wary of any purchase outside of pharmacies
10:54that are subject to the control of competent health authorities and institutions.
10:59According to the WHO, online drugs are counterfeit and come from smuggled goods.
11:08Their source is unknown and does not respect the safety and quality standards in force.
11:13Their use is dangerous, as they can contain metals such as mercury and nickel,
11:19which, at high doses, destroy the body.
11:23Online drug sales offer a wide range of drugs,
11:27including discretion and confidentiality, competitive prices, promotions,
11:32and availability 24 hours a day.
11:36However, the drawbacks threaten users' health and must therefore be considered.
11:46I have already bought a drug online, but it was a mistake on my part.
11:51I often have migraines and buy a lot of paracetamol.
11:54I do not advise citizens to buy drugs online.
11:57You really have to consult a pharmacist.
12:06The source of online drugs is unknown.
12:09A drug that is not designed in a scientific laboratory can be very harmful.
12:14It is better to buy these drugs from the pharmacy.
12:17For online drug sales to develop safely and ethically,
12:22it is crucial, according to specialists, to strengthen regulation and control
12:27of sites concerned by health authorities,
12:29while raising awareness among consumers of the danger of buying drugs
12:33on uncertified platforms, without an order, or from unknown sources.
12:41In the Gaza conflict, Hamas announced yesterday
12:45a resumption of talks for a truce.
12:49Development is with Reza Ingo.
12:54In Doha, indirect negotiations have resumed today to affirm Hamas,
13:00a statement to which Israel has not yet reacted.
13:03The movement has reaffirmed its commitment to reach an agreement in the shortest possible time.
13:08Negotiations will focus on the guarantee that the agreement must lead
13:13to a complete cessation of hostilities, the withdrawal of the occupation forces of the Gaza Strip,
13:18the definition of the mechanisms of implementation,
13:21and the return of displaced people to their homes.
13:24For more than a year, Qatar has been engaged alongside the United States and Egypt
13:28in negotiations for a truce and the liberation of Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
13:34Israel has sworn to destroy Hamas and launch a devastating military campaign in the Gaza Strip.
13:41Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has authorized his negotiators to continue discussions in Doha.
13:48Negotiations had taken place in December, still in Doha,
13:51but Hamas and Israel had accused themselves of sabotaging them.
13:55Despite intense diplomatic efforts, no truce has been concluded
13:59since a week intervened in late November 2023.
14:03This suspension had allowed the release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners detained by Israel.
14:12This time in Syria, the new head of Syrian diplomacy, Assad al-Shibani,
14:18announced yesterday in a statement that he would make an official visit this week to Qatar,
14:25the United Arab Emirates and Jordan after his first official trip to Saudi Arabia.
14:31We look forward to his visits to support stability, security, economic recovery
14:39and to build good partnerships, he added.
14:45At the base, French and German foreign ministers met yesterday the new Syrian leader.
14:52During this visit, the two diplomats insisted on the need for a peaceful and inclusive transition.
14:59Raja Ingo tells us about it.
15:01The visit to Syria by Jean-Noël Barraud and Dana Lena Baerbock is a mandate of the European Union.
15:08It is the first meeting between leaders of Western powers and the new leader of Syria.
15:15The first steps of Amel Al-Shara, head of the HTS group, who overthrew Bashar al-Assad, are carefully scrutinized.
15:22Jean-Noël Barraud also called for the destruction of the chemical weapons stocks inherited from the old regime.
15:29A sovereign and secure Syria leaves no room for proliferation,
15:34for the spread of weapons of mass destruction, the chemical weapons of the criminal regime of Bashar al-Assad.
15:42France and Germany have affirmed their solidarity with the Syrian people in all its diversity.
15:48The two countries want to promote a peaceful and demanding transition in the service of the Syrians
15:54and for regional stability.
15:56Germany made it known that a new political departure between Europe and Syria,
16:01between Germany and Syria, was possible.
16:05Europe is ready to offer its support, but Europe will not be the sponsor of new extremist structures.
16:15A new Syria means an inclusive and peaceful transfer of power, reconciliation and construction.
16:22We have therefore clarified that, for the political process, the inclusion of all groups is essential,
16:28in particular the security of the Kurds.
16:30This requires the end of the fights in the north.
16:33But we must not pretend.
16:37The head of French diplomacy has also called for the new Syrian power to have a political solution
16:43with the Syrian democratic forces dominated by the Kurds.
16:47This armed group, an ally of France, controls a large part of the north-east of the country.
16:52Jean-Noël Barraud met the religious representatives of the Christian community,
16:57worried about the arrival of HTS to power.
17:00The two European ministers also went to the prison of Sayyed Naya,
17:04a symbol of the mass repression of the power of Bashar al-Assad.
17:11Thousands of Koreans are expected today in the streets of Seoul,
17:16in a increasingly chaotic political context,
17:19the day after an unsuccessful attempt to arrest President Joon Suk-hyen,
17:24accused of rebellion, for attempting to impose martial law early last December.
17:29On Friday, soldiers and security services blocked investigators
17:33who came to his house to take him away.
17:35The operation was launched early in the morning and was canceled
17:39after about six hours of negotiations and tensions.
17:47This concludes this news report.
17:50The news is brought to you by MediaTv Africa.
