In the first part, Magica DeSpell tricks Scrooge with a magic mirror to get his lucky dime. In the second part, Duckworth becomes a baseball coach, even though he doesn't know a first thing about baseball.
Magica's Magic Mirror:
Plot: Magica De Spell, the infamous sorceress, devises a cunning plan to steal Scrooge McDuck's Number One Dime by using a magical mirror that can trap people’s reflections and cast a spell on them. She tricks Scrooge and the nephews—Huey, Dewey, and Louie—into believing that the mirror is a harmless object, but once they are drawn into her trap, their reflections are captured inside the mirror.
Scrooge and the boys find themselves imprisoned within the mirror's mystical world. Magica plans to use their trapped reflections to take control of the McDuck fortune and destroy Scrooge's wealth, but not without some trouble. As the boys work together to escape, they encounter some obstacles inside the mirror.
Meanwhile, back at the McDuck mansion, the boys' Uncle Scrooge and their friend, Launchpad, race against time to rescue them and foil Magica’s plot. Eventually, they manage to free the boys and the magical mirror is destroyed, but not before Magica vows to return and exact her revenge.
Take Me Out of the Ballgame:
Plot: Scrooge McDuck decides to take the nephews to a baseball game, but when they arrive at the stadium, they discover that it has been taken over by the notorious villain, the Beagle Boys, who plan to steal the tickets for the game's championship prize money. To prevent the Beagle Boys from succeeding, Scrooge and the nephews team up with the famous baseball player "The Big Duck," a legendary player who is now retired.
The group must work together to stop the Beagle Boys' scheme and ensure the championship goes ahead. In the process, Scrooge and the Big Duck form a rivalry, which leads to some amusing moments as they both struggle to outdo each other in the game.
As the game reaches its climax, the nephews show their own skills, and ultimately, the Beagle Boys are thwarted. Scrooge is able to enjoy the game, and his team wins the prize money, though the real victory is in thwarting the Beagle Boys and having some fun at the ballpark.
