00:00Good afternoon from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center. This is our update on the weather for the next 24 hours.
00:09We will still be experiencing rainfall from the northeast monsoon, or this cold wind.
00:15Here in the areas of extreme northern Luzon.
00:18Meanwhile, here in Shirline, or the area of hot and cold wind,
00:22we will still be experiencing rainfall from the northeastern and central Luzon.
00:32Here in Metro Manila and in other parts of the country, we will still be experiencing severe weather.
00:37Generally, fair weather, aside from isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
00:44At the moment, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas or bad weather
00:49inside and outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility,
00:53where there could be a storm that could affect our country in the next few days.
00:58As for the weather forecast for tomorrow,
01:02because of the cold wind, we will still be expecting rain and thunderstorms
01:07or thunderstorms here in the areas of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
01:12And because of Shirline, the area of mainland Cagayan,
01:16Batanes, Isabela, and Aurora,
01:19there will also be heavy rains and thunderstorms in these areas.
01:23So, we should be prepared for possible thunderstorms and landslides
01:27if we will be experiencing continuous rainfall.
01:30In Metro Manila and in other parts of Luzon,
01:33generally, we are expecting fair weather again tomorrow.
01:36We will still bring an umbrella in case of thunderstorms,
01:41especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:44As for the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
01:48here in the Davao Region,
01:52we are expecting the possible arrival of the Intertropical Convergence Zone, ITCZ.
01:56So, starting tomorrow, we are expecting a high chance of rain in the mentioned areas.
02:02For Palawan, the whole of Visayas, and for the rest of Mindanao,
02:07we are expecting it to be partly cloudy and partly rainy.
02:11This will be accompanied by occasional rains and thunderstorms.
02:18As for the sea level,
02:20due to the continuous influx of the Northeast Monsoon,
02:26we still have high gale warnings here in the seaboards of Batanes,
02:31here in Cagayan, and on the other side, Mabuyan Islands,
02:34in the area of Ilocos Norte, the western coast of Ilocos Sur,
02:38and here in the area of Isabela, Aurora, and the northern and eastern coasts of Quezon.
02:45So, in Northern Quezon, in the town of General Nacar,
02:48and on the other side, the northern and eastern coasts of Polilio Islands.
02:54To our fellow fishermen and those who have small fishing boats in these areas,
02:59we should not go too far,
03:01because we will experience a high sea level,
03:04accompanied by strong winds.
03:06It is also possible for us to experience a low to high sea level here
03:09in the eastern seaboard of Visayas.
03:12So, please be careful, fellow fishermen and those who are fishing in the mentioned areas.
03:17And for our 3-day weather outlook in the coastal cities of our country,
03:21we are expecting a different typhoon of winds in the next few days.
03:25Most of Luzon, we are expecting to experience the effects of this northeast monsoon.
03:30So, generally, we are still expecting fair weather in most of Luzon,
03:34and the chances of our thunderstorm activity will decrease.
03:37So, if we are going to experience a typhoon,
03:39these are the light rains that will bring strong winds.
03:43Fair weather in Visayas will continue in the next 3 days,
03:47so from Monday to Wednesday, this will continue to be clear in the weather.
03:51And we are still prepared for light rains followed by thunderstorms.
03:56But by Wednesday, here in Tacloban,
03:59we are expecting the return of this shear line,
04:02or the convergence of hot and cold winds,
04:04so we are expecting a high chance in most of the eastern Visayas on Wednesday.
04:12As for the areas of Mindanao,
04:14in the cities of Metro Davao, Cagayan de Oro City, and Zamboanga City,
04:18the effects of ITCZ rains will gradually decrease.
04:22But this weather system is still prevalent in a large part of Mindanao,
04:25so the chances of thunderstorm activity in the afternoon until the evening are still high.
04:30Generally, we are expecting fair weather conditions throughout the day,
04:33and we will experience hot and cold weather.
04:39The sunny days here in Manila will sink later at 5.41 p.m.
04:43and will rise tomorrow at 6.23 a.m.
