00:06A lawyer for Jolie confirmed Monday night in a statement to NBC News saying quote,

00:11More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt.

00:14She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt,

00:18and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.

00:22This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.

00:27Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.

00:31Her team confirming the settlement was signed and filed on Monday.

00:35According to NBC News, Pitt's legal team declined to comment.

00:39The settlement comes a decade after the couple married.

00:42The Hollywood stars tied the knot in 2014.

00:45It was two years later, in September 2016,

00:48when Jolie filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

00:51The couple share six children, 23-year-old Maddox, 21-year-old Pax,

00:5619-year-old Zahara, 18-year-old Shiloh, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivian.
