00:00Filipinos have become more peaceful in the new year, according to the Philippine National Police or PNP.
00:08In the report of the Philippine News Agency, as of January 1 at 6 in the morning,
00:13the Philippine National Police did not report any major crime,
00:17except for the shooting and several cases of indiscriminate firing.
00:23According to PNP Spokesperson, Police Brigadier General Gene Fajardo,
00:28there were 27 cases of indiscriminate firing,
00:31of which 5 were injured, while 21 suspects were arrested.
00:37A security guard, a police officer, and an official of the Bureau of Corrections in Zamboanga, Peninsula, were also arrested.
00:47They also recorded more than 1,000 cases of the use and sale of guns.
00:52In total, more than 593,000 illegal firecrackers were confiscated,
00:59worth more than Php 3 million.
