Legendary BBC DJ Johnnie Walker has passed away.

00:00He will be celebrating New Year's Eve with a stash of musicians in heaven.
00:06That's what Tiggy said, the wife of veteran DJ Johnny Walker,
00:10who sadly passed away aged 79 after suffering from a lung disease.
00:16Walker was known for hosting Radio 2's Sound of the Seventies
00:21until November last year when Bob Harris took over,
00:24as well as the Radio 2 Rock Show.
00:27And of course he began his career as a pirate DJ
00:30for the famous station Radio Caroline,
00:33as well as the offshore station Swinging Radio England.
00:37He was also known for causing a bit of controversy,
00:40but he was loved by all and he rejoined the BBC
00:45after calling Bay City Rollers musical garbage.
