00:37Eto ah, Dok, marami po sa atin taon-taon nagsaset ng New Year's Resolution.
00:43May mga natutupad, pero may mga nagfe-fail eh.
00:46Pero bakit po ba tayo, in the first place, ay nagsaset o gumagawa ng New Year's Resolution?
00:52At bakit pa ulit-ulit tayong nagsaset ng New Year's Resolution,
00:55kahit taon-taon rin, hindi rin ito nagagawa?
01:00Yes, Sir Audrey!
01:02Ang New Year kasi, ang New Year ngayon, is a time for reflection.
01:08Ito yung time na we look back sa ating mga na-achieve.
01:13For example, from the previous years, ano yung mga goals natin from the previous years
01:19na hindi masyadong natupad or na-push through during the previous year.
01:26At di ba may kasabihan nga, New Year, New Me, New Beginnings, so it's a time for renewal.
01:32Kaya nagkakaroon tayo ngayon ng sense of hope, ng sense of motivation,
01:38na kung meron man tayong mga remnants ng mga goals from last year,
01:43ay nire-reflect natin yun at tinitingnan, nire-evaluate, nire-reassess.
01:48And kung wala namang mga na-tira from last year,
01:52nire-reassess na tayo ng mga new goals for this year.
01:56And these goals kasi, Sir Audrey, Ma'am Diane, are really meant to help us with our personal and professional growth.
02:05Kaya nandun yung sense na we feel motivated sa pag-start ng bagong taon.
02:11We feel the excitement na yes, we have new goals,
02:16at ito ay, ito ang nagbibigay sa atin ng inspiration throughout the year.
02:22On New Year, New Me, may version 2.0 tayo for 2025, pero ito, Jock Jone,
02:27why do New Year's resolutions fail?
02:30Ano po ba yung rason at may kaugnayan po ba ito sa tinatawag na false hope syndrome?
02:36Yes, Ma'am Diane, sometimes kasi, kaya nag-fail.
02:40According to studies, Ma'am Diane, number one is nagiging unrealistic yung ating goals.
02:46Oo, nagkakaroon tayo ng mga goals na tingin natin is medyo vague, unrealistic siya,
02:53kaya nagkakaroon sometimes ng mga challenges in terms of pag-pursue nitong goals natin.
03:00Kasi nga medyo, siguro napakalaki, napakalawak,
03:04kaya yun din mga tips later on kung paano ba mag-set ng mas doable na goals for the new year.
03:12At yung sinasabi mo, Ma'am Diane, na false hope syndrome,
03:16ayaw naman sana natin na magkaroon tayo ng false hope kasi medyo not so good siya,
03:21but ito yung psychological phenomenon kung saan nagkakaroon na isang individual
03:25ng repeated na hindi pagtutupad o hindi pagkaka-achieve ng kanilang mga goals
03:33because na rin of mga unrealistic expectations set natin for ourselves
03:39or for the goals na sinet natin for ourselves.
03:42Kaya hopefully, again, ang goals natin ay baliktad doon sa unrealistic ay sana realistic ito.
03:51At may mga tips also para mas maggabayhan on how to achieve our goals
03:58na hindi mag-relead to that point na parang nawawalan tayo ng hope,
04:03nagkakaroon ng yun yung tiyatawag na false hope syndrome.
04:07Sana huwag naman ganun kasi may mga tips naman to help us.
04:11Achievable.
04:16Hindi pwede yung impossible yung gusto mong mangyari.
04:18Kung mara, gusto mong maging billionaryo, pwede bang millionaryo muna?
04:21Mas achievable yun for this year, di ba?
04:24Pero may mga tips mo ba kayo, Doc, na may bibigay sa atin mga co-RSP natin
04:29para nga ma-achieve nila yung ating New Year's resolution aside doon sa mag-set ka
04:34ng realistic goals, ano ba yung mga dapat pa namin gawin
04:37para hindi naman kami mabigo sa aming mga New Year's resolution for 2025?
04:42Correct. Ma'am Diane, Sir Audrey, nagsistart talaga siya kung saan na ay makapag-reflect tayo
04:49kasi nga self-reflection ang bagong taon. Reflect natin kung ang sinep ba natin na goal is
04:55How do we feel? Ano ba ang pakiramdam natin? Feelings.
05:00Do we feel na ito ay something na magiging happy tayo, motivated tayo to do it?
05:06Or do we feel overwhelmed? Sa iniisip pa lang natin medyo overwhelming na siya
05:11or parang stress-inducing? Kasi yun ang factor. Number one yun.
05:16Kasi kung tingin natin is overwhelming siya, then we proceed to number two.
05:20Pwede pa rin naman. Let's break down yung big goal natin into smaller tasks or smaller goals
05:28para hindi natin ma-feel masyado. Baka ma-stress lang tayo or we feel overwhelmed.
05:34So break down into smaller tasks, smaller goals.
05:37Number three is focus tayo. Take it one day at a time.
05:42Kasi sometimes masyado tayo nag-look forward sa future.
05:48So sometimes nakakaligtaan natin to focus muna.
05:52Just take it one task at a time, one day at a time. Tomorrow is another day.
05:57And then, make sure also na ano din. Kung may mga days sa goals natin na wala tayong nagawa.
06:06For example, na hindi tayong nag-progress a bit, then be kind to oneself din.
06:11Kasi it's okay naman. Ang focus natin is progress and not really perfection.
06:17Magkaiba kasi yun, di ba, Ma'am Diane, Sir Audrey?
06:20Progress lang. Focus tayo sa mga small progress natin each day.
06:26Leading towards our goals. And also, remain positive.
06:31Kasi in life, wala namang perfect, di ba, Ma'am Diane, Sir Audrey?
06:36Sometimes, nakakaroon talaga ng mga days na kahit gustong gusto natin.
06:40Halimbawa, mag-exercise to lose weight, for example.
06:43May mga days na talaga hindi kaya kasi may mga external factors like busy sa trabaho, etc.
06:48Then, it's okay. Be kind to yourself.
06:53Then we can always pick up the next day, di ba?
06:57Kaya sometimes naman, Diane, Sir Audrey, yung iba, never naman, bad din yun.
07:04Sometimes, i-re-reset natin yung goal natin.
07:06Hindi naman kailangan January talaga tayo magsastart ng New Year's resolutions or goals.
07:11Pwede i-move natin sa March kung tingin natin, ay, hindi pa kaya itong January.
07:16Kasi siguro because of work, schedule, finances, health natin.
07:20So, it's okay to start on a later date.
07:22But at the same time, if really necessary, ask for help din.
07:27Kasi sometimes, Ma'am Diane, Sir Audrey, yung support system natin, sila din yung parang cheerleaders natin na tumutulong din.
07:34Para we feel motivated and engaged and inspired para i-continue yung ating goals.
07:40And never compare.
07:42Sometimes kasi parang nawawalan tayo ng confidence ating sarili.
07:48Because nakikita natin, ay bakit siya ang bilis niyang pumayat, ako hindi.
07:52E yun nga, iba-iba naman tayo ng pace, ng pacing.
07:55Never compare yourself to others.
