00:00It was very emotional, you know, we just all looked at each other and thought it might be the last time we play the characters together, you know.
00:19Bonjour, Pam, how are you?
00:21Bonjour, I'm good, and you?
00:23Good. Listen, I got to say congratulations. You know, obviously, it's great to wrap up anything on your own terms.
00:29But you guys really fought to make sure that James would be part of this as well.
00:32And I know it wasn't always a guarantee that he was.
00:35What did it mean to you to be able to say goodbye in the right way with James Gunn a part of it as well?
00:40It was so beautiful and meaningful and it's the trilogy as James Gunn imagined it.
00:46You know, he had planned everything in his head since the beginning and it was his beautiful vision of the characters and
00:54and of the story, you know, and
00:56and it was beautiful in this volume three to dive into
01:02into Rocket's backstory and all the trauma he's been through.
01:05But actually all the Guardians have been through a lot of trauma, you know,
01:08but it's beautiful because they all connect in such a deep way and they
01:14they just all kind of save themselves by being together and sticking with each other, you know?
01:20Yeah, and they do such a good job of pairing the cast up with people that they can play off of well
01:25and I think, you know, Mantis and Drax are such a great dynamic in this.
01:28You obviously have great chemistry with Dave Bautista.
01:30What was it like to build that connection, especially after starting it so strongly with the Christmas special as well?
01:36Oh my god.
01:37We had so much fun in the holiday special and we actually shot it at the same time as Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.
01:44So, you know, it was it was funny because
01:47Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 has a deeper tone, you know, like darker and the holiday special was just like
01:54you know, so it was just like going to like so many emotions, but
01:59yeah, it was awesome to get to work with Dave and to
02:04I love the dynamic between Mantis and Drax, you know, it's so sweet to play. It's so funny.
02:11They're just buddies and
02:13yeah, and sometimes like, you know, Dave calls her like horrible names, but it's just funny, you know?
02:20Peter, you know, this is an open line, right?
02:22What?
02:23We're listening to everything you're saying.
02:25And it is painful.
02:27And you're just telling me now?
02:28We were hoping it would stop on its own.
02:30But I switched it over to private.
02:31What color button did you push?
02:33Blue, for the blue suit.
02:34Oh, no.
02:35Blue was the open line for everyone.
02:37Orange is for blue.
02:38What?
02:39Black is for orange, yellow is for green, green is for red, and red is for yellow.
02:44No, yellow is for yellow, green is for red, red is for green.
02:47I don't think so.
02:48Try it then.
02:50Hello!
02:52Yeah!
02:53You were right.
02:54But it was beautiful at the same time.
02:56You know, it's beautiful to have these emotions and to care for each other, you know?
03:02And we're all friends in real life as well.
03:04So yeah, that was beautiful.
03:06Well, and you guys always bring the fun and music and dancing is such a big part of the
03:10Guardians franchise in general.
03:12What's it like to be in the room and to be part of one of those dance parties?
03:15Because they look like a great time.
03:17Oh, yeah, it was great.
03:19Do I dance in the movie?
03:20Oh, yeah, at the beginning, yeah.
03:23The music is such an important part of the movie.
03:27And it's so amazing how James Gunn chooses each music for each moment.
03:35And he sends us, in the script, the songs are already written into the script.
03:41And then before starting to shoot the movie, he sent us a mixtape, you know, a playlist
03:47with all the songs of the movie.
03:49So we just, like, you know, listen to the music, dream about the scenes, and then shoot
03:54the scene.
03:55And he would play the music on set sometimes.
03:58And yeah, it was amazing.
04:01Thanks for watching.
