00:00The people of East Malaysia are expected to be more afraid of PAS after the implementation of the Sebat Terbuka law against a man who was found guilty of adultery in Terengganu last week.
00:14Political analyst James Chin said PAS seems to be working hard to make Malaysia a country that complies with Sharia law.
00:23According to him, such actions will encourage PAS to develop their support in Sabah and Sarawak.
00:30Analyst Lee Kwok Tiong argued that the Sebat Terbuka law is inconsistent with the social culture of Sabah and Sarawak that emphasizes inclusivity and autonomy.
00:42PAS has been trying for so long to strengthen its influence in Sabah and Sarawak.
00:47Now they only have one representative, Ali Akbar Gulasan, a member of the State Legislative Council appointed in Sabah.
00:55Earlier, President of the Pesaka Party Bumi Pucar Bersatu Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah insisted that the people of Sarawak would not accept PAS's ideology.
