The Foreign Ministry has confirmed that there were no Malaysians on board Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, which veered off the runway and crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea on Sunday (Dec 29).

00:00Emotions ran high when authorities provided updates to relatives of the victims of the
00:08Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 crash in South Korea on Sunday.
00:20The family members had gathered at Muan International Airport to await the developments of the tragedy.
00:26151 people out of the 181 people on board the plane perished after the aircraft travelling
00:33from Bangkok landed at the Muan airport before overshooting the runway and ramming into a
00:38wall of the airport at about 9am.
00:41The Malaysian Foreign Ministry said the embassy in Seoul had confirmed that there were no
00:45Malaysian nationals on board the plane.
00:48The ministry said the government extends its condolences to the affected families and the
00:52people of South Korea.
00:54Jeju Air told a press conference in Seoul that the company will do its best to provide
00:58answers about the crash.
01:19Meanwhile the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul said two Thai nationals were on board the
01:23plane and feared dead.
01:25All the other passengers and crew members are reported to be South Korean nationals
01:29and most of them had returned from a tour of Bangkok organised by travel agencies.
