00:18on December 26 to impeach the acting President, Prime Minister Han Deok-su. This after he
00:24declines to appoint three justices to fill vacancies at the Constitutional Court, saying
00:28doing so would exceed his role. The DP initially refrains from pursuing Han's impeachment following
00:34President Yoon Suk-yol's impeachment. However, tensions have since risen over Han's refusal
00:40to appoint the justices and his opposition to special prosecutor bills investigating Yoon.
00:45The DP accuses Han of abusing power to obstruct Yoon's trial, labeling him a key suspect in the
00:51rebellion. Meanwhile, Yoon's People Power Party leader, Kwon Yong-se, says that Han's impeachment
00:57could trigger a new financial crisis. The vote on Han's impeachment comes as the Constitutional
01:02Court prepares to hold its first hearing on whether Yoon will be reinstated or permanently
01:07removed from office. The court has 180 days to make a decision, and if Yoon is removed,
01:13a new presidential election will be held within 60 days.
