00:00More than a million passengers have arrived at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange of PITX since last week.

00:08So let's find out the situation there now with JP Soriano's on-the-spot report.

00:16Connie, Kapuso.

00:18Four days before the New Year's Eve, there were no passengers arriving at PITX, the largest bus terminal in Metro Manila.

00:26And as you can see behind me, the line is really long.

00:29There are no passengers, Connie.

00:30It goes all the way to the other side of Kennedy Road.

00:33It's here at the PITX Terminal in Paranaque City.

00:36And as of 10 a.m., there are almost 50,000 passengers arriving at PITX.

00:41And according to PITX, today, December 27,

00:45they expect that the number of passengers arriving at PITX will reach 190,000 to 200,000 passengers.

00:53Most of the passengers are returning home via Batangas, Bicol, and Mindoro.

00:57And from December 20 to December 26,

01:001.4 million passengers arrived at PITX.

01:05The average number of passengers is 200,000 per day this Christmas and New Year season,

01:11according to PITX management, especially for the long weekend New Year celebration.

01:16It is strictly prohibited to use sharp objects such as knives, scissors,

01:20and any type of flammable materials,

01:22as well as any type of firecrackers and lights.

01:24As you can see here, these are just a few of the security officers here at PITX.

01:31And so far, they have not been able to confiscate any type of lights.

01:35So it is strictly prohibited,

01:37even if the type of lights is legal,

01:40it is strictly prohibited to bring it here during your trip to PITX.

01:44And that is the latest.
