00:00Counting on your Steelers to step up on Christmas Day, and it's been a rough couple of weeks
00:09for the Steelers.
00:11I think Scott, like basically with the Steelers, we've seen this before, remember they started
00:15off the season hot with Roethlisberger in his last year, one of his last years there.
00:19They've done this before.
00:20I never thought the Steelers were like elite elite, right?
00:23They could beat teams they're supposed to beat, but I don't know if they can beat the
00:26elite teams.
00:28But, man, going to Philadelphia was tough.
00:31The Baltimore Ravens are red hot right now.
00:34Like they're a scary team.
00:35Like they're a legitimate contender.
00:37You know, Kansas City aren't quite the same.
00:39They're not as explosive.
00:40I think the Steelers can win this game on Wednesday.
00:43I don't think they look good at all.
00:45I thought from Philly to this game, they got worse.
00:49I thought they actually were downgraded the second loss, and now I'm worried about Christmas
00:54that they can't dance with the Chiefs, and they don't lose.
00:59And they finally covered.
01:00So, I think they are coming in there the better team, and they're probably going to be able
01:04to handle the Steelers.
01:05What's Pickens coming back?
01:06Is Pickens, like, what's the deal with Pickens?
01:07He's going to play this week.
01:08I think he'll play in this game on Christmas Day, and I think it's certainly going to help,
01:09but you don't know how he's going to be.
01:10You know, if his hand, he's going to hold up, or if it's going to give him problems,
01:11if he'll be limited, if he'll get a lot of snaps, if he'll get a lot of targets.
01:12You don't know.
01:13But he's missed some games, and it hurt the Steelers.
01:14When he wasn't in the game, it hurt the Steelers.
01:15When he wasn't in the game, it hurt the Steelers.
01:16And he was doing well, and then that guy got injured, and it, like, ruined him.
01:40Even with Pickens, they're still thin at the wide receiver position.
01:43So losing him, it's just, it's asking too much.
01:46But one thing with Pittsburgh, it's not a good matchup for them if they're playing teams
01:50that are going to score, right?
01:52Like with good offenses.
01:53The Steelers aren't, you know what I mean, they can't really keep up.
01:56They need to play in these smash mouth games.
01:58Like earlier in the year, they were winning the lower scoring games.
02:01It wasn't pretty.
02:02They were fighting away.
02:03But if teams are going to drop 27 on them, if they're going to drop and get in the 30s,
02:07then they're going to be in trouble.
02:09But I think they can contain Kansas City's offense.
02:12It's a quick turnaround for Kansas City as well.
02:14Like I said, it should be a lower scoring game, not a track meet style game.
02:19But Pittsburgh need to stop the bleeding.
02:21And all that, forget about the Steelers, Scott.
02:23Like the Ravens, they're a streaky team.
02:26And they've tightened things up right now in their secondary a little bit.
02:30That's been their weakness.
02:31You can throw the football on them.
02:32We'll have to see the Lamars succeed in the playoffs.
02:35But as a Bills fan, I don't want to play a Baltimore Ravens, I'll tell you that.
02:39Like, they're a scary team, the Ravens.
02:41I don't see how the Steelers contain Kansas City or Mahomes.
02:45They didn't do it against Philly.
02:47They didn't do it this week.
02:49They're not stopping anybody.
02:50I think their defense might be a little overrated.
02:53They seem cooked at the end of the season here.
02:56And you know what?
02:57Cincinnati's playing great football.
02:58They could go in there on January 5th and beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and they
03:03could lose out.
03:04They have to get their act together.
03:05They really need to play better on Christmas Day.
03:08I doubt it.
03:09I think the only game they have a shot at is Cincinnati.
03:13You know, too, I think I told you this before.
03:15There was a study done a couple of years ago about what cities take when the NFL team loses,
03:23who takes it the hardest.
03:25And Pittsburgh was number one.
03:28Like the city of Pittsburgh.
03:29Like, as far as, like, arrest, anger, family fights, et cetera, it gets ugly.
03:35Suicide.
03:36Yeah, yeah.
03:37It gets ugly.
03:38Every time they lose.
03:39So, it gets ugly.
03:40Like, Buffalo gets sad.
03:41It's like, you know what I mean?
03:43I've been in Buffalo, actually, like, after big losses in the morning after.
03:47It's like it was a nuclear war.
03:48You could hear a pin drop.
03:49No one's talking.
03:50It's sad.
03:51It's not really anger.
03:52It's sadness.
03:53People in Pittsburgh get angry.
03:54It's like when the Steelers lose.
03:56Denver's another one.
03:57Like, people out there, they're nuts.
03:59Like, they literally take it very seriously.
04:00They get mad in their own personal life if the Broncos lose.
04:04What a way to spend Christmas, though, Scott.
04:06It's great if your team wins, but, you know what I mean?
04:08If you drop this NFL stuff, you're ruining someone's Christmas.
