00:00The Philippine Coast Guard is on heightened alert to manage the increased volume of port passengers during the holiday season.
00:08As of recent monitoring, more than 76,000 outbound passengers and almost 64,000 inbound passengers have been recorded in ports nationwide.
00:18To ensure safety and efficiency, nearly 3,000 frontline personnel from 16 PCG districts have been deployed,
00:26conducting inspections of 596 vessels and 933 motorbikes.
00:32Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration or BI has advised travelers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flight this holiday season to avoid congestion and ensure smoother travel.
00:44BI Commissioner Jovel Anthony Villado assured measures are in place to reduce waiting times compared to previous years but stressed the importance of early check-ins and prompt immigration clearance.
