00:19this is the beat-beat of the Bicycle Response Unit or BRU in Naga City, Camarines Sur
00:24in responding to accidents in the area.
00:28The local government and the Department of Health-Biol and the Health Office of Naga
00:33will provide basic life support and first aid to the volunteers
00:36to help the victims of road crashes and other road emergencies.
00:41It would be very helpful if the road can be insulated for days
00:48and if an ambulance can be brought there.
00:52The BRU has a big role to play
00:54because they can respond quickly to accidents and emergency situations using their bicycles.
01:01There are 25 volunteers in the BRU
01:03who will go around the area using their bicycles from the LGU
01:08while the first aid kits are from the DOH.
01:11For now, the BRU will be the ones to volunteer
01:14while they are still being trained on how to pay their salaries.
