00:00The Office of Civil Defense or OCD says President Ferdinand Marquez Jr. gave both the local governments of Canlaon City and provincial government of Negros Oriental 30 million pesos each
00:12to help them address the needs of their constituents affected by the eruption of Canlaon Volcano.
00:18A report by the Philippine News Agency says that the distribution of the support was facilitated by Special Assistant to the President, Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr.
00:29The funds are aimed at helping areas affected like Negros Occidental, which declared a state of calamity, recover from the effects of the eruption.
00:41Canlaon City particularly, its local chief executive urged the national government to help them as they could only sustain the needs of internally displaced persons for three to four days.
