00:42And we came out here because we feel that this is finally drawing people's attention

00:49to the issue of our very broken healthcare system.

00:52Um, I personally have been affected.

00:55My back is damaged because of negligence from my healthcare and primarily insurance.

01:02And I think that this was a very powerful message that was sent.

01:08And that's why there's so many people like crying out and saying, he's not wrong.

01:14Violence is wrong, but the message is not.

01:16The message that our healthcare system is broken and needs to be fixed is absolutely

01:21correct.

01:22Obviously I don't condone murder.

01:23I don't condone violence.

01:25I don't want to live in an eye for an eye society, but I do believe that in this situation

01:30when there is systemic violence coming from institutions like privatized healthcare, there

01:35is no viable alternative when politicians won't respond, when the law won't respond.

01:42Certainly we believe it's in the interest of justice to turn him over to the New York

01:46City Police Department and Manhattan District Attorney's Office, which we did.

01:51He is now in their custody.

01:53He will go forth with New York to await trial or prosecution for his homicide and related
