00:00So, wow, what a start to the season for your line, for you, for this team.
00:04What's it like for you to have a success so far this season?
00:07Yeah, it's been good.
00:08I think, you know, guys are playing well, producing, making plays, and, you know, we're
00:12playing well as a team, so it's got to keep it up.
00:14Do you think being on the road to start helped this team?
00:17You guys gel more, you bond more.
00:19Talk about it just from your perspective.
00:21Yeah, for sure.
00:22I think, you know, you're together so much, especially when you're on the road.
00:25So, kind of having that time to get together and be with the guys and kind of less distractions
00:31and stuff like that, I think definitely could help.
00:33When I was talking to the guys, some of them during training camp, it was a tough training
00:37camp.
00:38Do you think that really set you guys on the course to having the success you've had so
00:41far this season?
00:42Yeah, for sure.
00:43I think, you know, we got everything that we needed out of it, conditioning, good skates,
00:48battle, compete, and then, you know, you throw in all the systems and everything like that
00:51and start the year on time and everyone's on the same page.
00:56What about your line?
00:57Boy, just on fire.
00:58It must just feel so good.
00:59Yeah, it's been good.
01:00I think, you know, being able to play with those guys, I'm pretty lucky there.
01:03They're great players and they make it easy, so, yeah, I think we all just complement each
01:07other well and got to keep it up.
01:10What is it going to take to catch Winnipeg, or do you guys even think about that?
01:12You focus on your own game.
01:13Yeah, you try to focus on yourself.
01:15I think, you know, they're playing really well.
01:17Obviously, they're a really special team with a lot of good players, but, you know, you
01:21focus on yourself, especially early on in the season and, you know, you just try to
01:24show up and play your game.
01:26For you, yourself, what do you think has worked so well to start this season?
01:30I don't know.
01:31I think, you know, when the team's doing well, it's obviously easier to get up and have that
01:37confidence and stuff like that, so a lot of credit to how we're playing as a team and,
01:41you know, I think you see that in a lot of guys' games with how well guys are playing,
01:44so I'd probably say that.
01:46Okay, two minutes in the penalty box.
01:48You ready?
01:49Let's do it.
01:50Okay.
01:51Favorite player growing up?
01:52Sidney Crosby.
01:53I heard that about him.
01:54Did you pretend to be him when you were on a backyard rink?
01:58He was just kind of the young guy, young kid growing up, coming right into the league.
02:04I loved how he played, protected pucks and stuff like that, so.
02:08Favorite pregame meal?
02:11Pasta and chicken with vodka sauce.
02:14You're very specific.
02:15I like that.
02:16A suit or sweats?
02:19Suit.
02:21Most underrated player in the NHL?
02:26Barkov.
02:28Favorite road arena?
02:29Nashville.
02:30Why do you like that?
02:31And you're not the only one who said that.
02:35I think it's a cool town.
02:37The rink's cool, too.
02:38You bring the, I love country music, so that, and built into the game, I like it's cool.
02:43Last time you had stitches?
02:44Never.
02:45Oh my gosh.
02:46Yeah.
02:47That's awesome.
02:48Okay, I hope I didn't jig-zag you.
02:49How often do you get your skates sharpened?
02:51Do they do that for you every day?
02:53I think so.
02:54I don't know.
02:55I'm not very, I'm not super picky about my skates, so.
02:57You're not?
02:58No.
02:59Who's the best chirper on the team?
03:03Marcus Foligno.
03:04He does that with other teams?
03:05Yeah.
03:06You could hear it.
03:07Does it motivate you?
03:08It's funny, yeah.
03:09That's good.
03:10Sports car or SUV?
03:11SUV.
03:12Favorite evening out in the Twin Cities?

03:27Any favorites?
03:28Billy's Sushi.
03:29Oh, yeah.
03:30That's my favorite.
03:31Sushi's the best, isn't it?
03:32What relative had the most influence on your career?
03:35I think my older brother.
03:38What did he do to influence you?
03:40I think it was just kind of growing up always wanting to compete with him and play with
03:46him and his friends.
03:47He's four and a half years older than me, so it was a big jump growing up, and I think
03:52that kind of built me as a person.
03:54Who's the first person you call when something really awesome happens to you?
03:59My mom or dad, probably.
04:03Video games, books, or podcasts?
04:04Podcasts.
04:05Really?
04:06Yeah.
04:07Do you have a favorite podcast?
04:08I don't.
04:09No.
04:10I honestly don't really like any of them, but I definitely, I don't play video games
04:14and I don't read much, so I just went with podcasts.
04:17That was the easiest one.
04:18Yeah.
04:19It's the last option.
04:20Country music or rock music?
04:21Country.
04:22And who's your favorite?
04:23I like Maury Wallen a lot.
04:26Great show.
04:27Did you see him?

04:32Thank you so much.
04:33Of course.
04:34Sushi's the best.
