Hong Kong-Taipei reclaimed its position as the world’s busiest international flight route, according to a report released Tuesday. The route leads despite seat capacity remaining 15% below pre-pandemic levels. Seven of the 10 busiest international routes are in Asia-Pacific, though many have yet to recover fully to 2019 capacity. New York-JFK to London-Heathrow remains the only route in the top 10 connecting North America and Europe, with seat capacity rising 3% in 2023. Atlanta-Orlando in the U.S. Vancouver-Toronto leads North America overall, with over 3 million seats.
