Al-Assad would have ended up like Gaddafi

If al-Assad had not fled Syria and fell into the hands of opposition fighters, he would have ended up like Libya’s late leader Muammar Gaddafi, the director of the Syria Conflict Research Program Dr Rim Turkmani says.
