00:28Thousands of Georgians have been protesting in response to the Georgian government's decision
00:33to halt EU accession talks.
00:36But the suppression of the pro-EU demonstrations led to chaotic clashes in the streets and
00:41resulted in multiple arrests and numerous reports of injuries.
00:46Hungary, who is a close ally to the Georgian ruling party, had announced before the gathering
00:51that they would block any restrictive measures.
00:55Hungary's Prime Minister Robert Fajko often aligns with Hungary's Viktor Orban on foreign
00:59policy and was also expected to say no.
