00:00But first, I want to take you back and we'll talk about what happened before this.
00:06You know, you had the title, you had an insane run through the BKFC last year, going from
00:11debut to champion in a year, you know, just running through people.
00:15Then unfortunately, you had the fight against Blaz, it didn't go your way and it was a tough
00:19one to watch.
00:20Honestly, as a fan, sometimes, you know, we're watching for the violence, that's obviously
00:25fighting.
00:26But the way things went down, the look at the end there, with how banged up you were
00:30from it.
00:31Tell us about the fight.
00:32What happened there for you?
00:34What did you see in there, in the ring?
00:36And you know, how did you recover from that over these past months to get back into top
00:39shape here and show us that you're still the rock star by running through Laramore?
00:43You know, it was one of those situations, I think like, you know, especially after the
00:49year I had, you know, before that, where I was like, you know, I went from debut to champ
00:55in 10 months.
00:56And like, you know, I love being active.
00:58And then once I got the belt, it took like, you know, nine months to finally book a fight.
01:03You know, the layoff, I think kind of had an effect just because I'm like, I'm pretty
01:09much staying camp.
01:10You know, like, I've got my own gym to run.
01:14So like, you know, like, I don't stop.
01:16But it was hard, it was hard, it was hard to stay hungry for nine months waiting to
01:21fight.
01:22Like, you know, especially when I'm always training, like, you know, like, you know,
01:25the next fight is coming.
01:26And it was just one of those situations where, you know, I got a little overaggressive, like,
01:33you know, I kind of got caught up in, like, usually I'm a little bit more predatory.
01:39But like, I got into the mindset of where, like, I really wanted to, you know, really
01:44wanted to just drop bluffs, like right off the bat, like, you know, he was talking a
01:49bunch of smack, getting in my face and like, you know, I've had 45 professional fights
01:54and I think there's only been like three guys I just, you know, didn't care for freaking
01:59in the build up.
02:00You know, and he was one of those, threw a big shot, my shot missed by like, just a little
02:06bit.
02:07You know, his shot landed and then, you know, after that, it was just kind of a blur.
02:12You know, you get clipped in the temple with a good shot and it just, you know, scrambles
02:17the brain a little bit.
02:19But I think part of it was also, like, yeah, like, you know, I've fought where I've barely,
02:24like, you know, where I've fought where, like, you know, I barely remember rounds, like,
02:28you know, because I've eaten a big shot, like the Scoggins fight, you know, I dropped him,
02:32then he dropped me.
02:33And then after that point, like, I don't, like, you know, a lot of the fight was a blur.
02:37You know, so it was kind of that situation, but also like, you know, the way the ref stepped
02:42in because I was still up and fighting and he kind of like slid in between us and I didn't
02:47even, like, recognize he had slid in between us, you know, and at this point in my life,
02:53I've been fighting, you know, in some regard for my whole life.
02:58I don't have a flight response.
03:01So like, you know, I'm just going to keep fighting whoever's in front of me and instead
03:06of grabbing me, he backed up.
03:07So like, you know, the fighter in me thinks I've got him on the ropes and I'm looking
03:11to finish, you know, and it just was one of those unfortunate situations.
03:17You know?
03:18Yeah.
03:19Yeah.
03:20Yeah.
