Arestado na ang isang Taiwanese na supplier umano ng armas ng ilang POGO sa bansa. Wanted siya hindi lang sa Pilipinas kundi sa abroad dahil sa ilegal na droga at ibang krimen. Minsan na siyang tinarget ng raid sa isang condo sa Makati kung saan na-recover ang dose-dosenang baril.

00:00Good evening, Paul Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

00:05A Taiwanese supplier of firearms of several FOGOs in the country has been arrested.

00:12He is wanted not only in the Philippines but also abroad because of illegal drugs and other crimes.

00:17He was once targeted by a raid in a condo in Makati where dozens of guns were recovered.

00:24And June Veneracion was shot.

00:26Last March, police raided a condo unit in Makati City

00:34which resulted in the confiscation of more than 80 guns and hundreds of bullets.

00:40Aside from the handguns, there were also assault rifles.

00:43But the operation was not reached by the raiding team.

00:47The Taiwanese fugitive, Zhang Zhang Yadong, was arrested more than a year ago.

00:54He was arrested yesterday in the operation of the PNP, AFP and Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, or PAOC.

01:01On December 12, when someone gave us information that he was in a mall in Makati with his friends,

01:09they were in a restaurant.

01:11So when we went there, it was time for them to leave.

01:16It's a good thing that we caught them.

01:17We were able to effect the warrant for them.

01:19The suspect is also wanted in Taiwan because of involvement in illegal drugs.

01:23and other organized crime.

01:25When he escaped to the Philippines,

01:27the suspect set up his own organized crime group for his scamming and gunrunning activities.

01:33He is the supplier of guns and firearms of POGO.

01:39And you know, what we investigated last year,

01:46most of the POGO workers were killed by guns.

01:52The suspect was jailed in Makati City Police Station,

01:55but the media did not allow him to be seen.

01:58According to the monitoring of PAOC,

02:00150 POGO workers are still hiding in condominiums, resorts and gated communities.
