00:08The MND community, including Rob's parents Geoff and Irene Burrow, Leeds Teaching Hospital's
00:13MND patients and their families, and the wider Leeds Hospital's charity fundraising community,
00:19came together and signed a timber frame which will be incorporated into the centre's construction.
00:24The new building will be a flagship centre in the north of England, covering more than
00:281,000 square metres, with a striking design that includes a light and spacious atrium,
00:33wheelchair-accessible parking and newly landscaped gardens.
00:37The building will enable all care and support for MND patients and their families to take
00:41place in one dedicated space, with a view to including research at some point in the
00:46future.
00:47The milestone was reached shortly after Kevin Sinfield's latest challenge to raise vital
00:51funds and awareness for MND, and the centre is scheduled to open at Seacroft Hospital
00:56in Leeds in summer 2025.
