00:00We are at the 6th edition of Noil Mediterraneo, in these years Palermo has reappropriated its sea, can we say that?
00:07I would say that in a growing measure and coherently with the advancement of this initiative,
00:16every year we measure the distance that separates us from the previous year.
00:23We have, on our part, certainly marked some points, a new relationship with the sea,
00:31an increasingly full and complete integration between city authorities and port authorities,
00:40in a comprehensive framework of regeneration, not only port but also urban,
00:48and a further perspective of collaboration for the completion and improvement of the entire waterfront of Palermo.
00:56I think these are all objectives that serve to emphasize the increasingly strong need
01:04for institutional collaboration and integration of resources, exactly as we are doing.
01:10We spoke a little while ago with President Monti about the feasibility on the seas,
01:15he told us that the administration has indicated the port authority as the subject to carry it out,
01:19are there already deadlines?
01:21Yes, the deadlines are those related to the start of the procedures,
01:27in the sense that we already have the FSC resources,
01:33so on the basis of an existing convention we will transfer it to the port authority
01:39for the start of the works that I hope can already be carried out for the first half of 2025.
