00:00Right about now.
00:20But we were actually trying to rebrand the whole thing by talking about what we like
00:23about our periods, which is a very difficult conversation to have because there's not a
00:26lot that we like.
00:27Yeah.
00:28Even mentally, I feel like I get a free pass to have a bad mood on my period.
00:34That's maybe a good thing.
00:35No?
00:36Like I can be like shouting and I'm like, I have my period, it's fine, I'm bleeding.
00:40It's okay.
00:41All the chutti.
00:42Yeah.
00:43I mean, I don't take chutti on my period, but it's an excuse to eat junk food and like
00:46comfort food, I feel.
00:48Yeah, that's about it.
00:50But like, okay, so we've gone over the good stuff, but what is the stuff you hate about
00:54your period?
00:56Um, pain, quite a bit of pain, especially on the first two days, like the cramps are
01:01really bad.
01:03The mood swings because you don't know why you're crying so much and it's like, oh, okay,
01:07now I get why I've been crying for the past two days, it's because I'm getting my period.
01:12And just not being able to wear like what you wanted to wear mentally in your head,
01:16you know, you've like decided your outfit and then you get your period and you're like,
01:20you know, I can't wear what I plan to wear.
01:22So yeah.
01:23The stains are really worth hating.
01:27I mean, it's the cramps, it's the stains, it's the being constantly annoyed.
01:32It's not fun really.
01:34But I mean, I'm glad that there's, you know, stuff that's changing with our life that's
01:39changing as we're updating in life, period products are getting updated.
01:42But have you seen that there was a change in how you had your period before you became
01:47an actor and then after and like how you were able to deal with it with changing products?
01:52I mean, before, I think as you said, the, you know, technology has gotten so advanced
01:56before I think I would be really nervous to make the smallest of movements.
02:00I would feel like I'm going to stain something like either stain my clothes or stain like
02:04the surface that I'm sitting on.
02:05But I think now especially with the whisper, the curvewear technology, which is one of
02:09a kind, it's not only in India, but I think globally also, it's the first time that it's
02:12happening.
02:13I really feel free enough to move without the fear of staining something because that,
02:18you know, definitely does make you feel embarrassed.
02:20So I think that's definitely something that's changed.
02:21I'm way, I can work out now because I'm not scared of as, you know, staining.
02:26I'm not scared of that itchiness or that those rashes that come because I was scared that
02:30with my period and then with working out also is that going to like, you know, combine a
02:35sort of like rash or make it itchy.
02:36But it's also because now the whisper pad is also super soft.
02:39You know, they have a very soft, thick layer on top and even the absorption is super strong.
02:43So that actually makes me do a lot more things than I could before.
02:47That's really good.
02:48And I like that there's a focus on like real problems and the real solutions for that.
02:52So how do you feel, you know, being Whisper's, you know, new face, very pretty face?
02:56I feel great because, you know, this is something that I've always spoken about and normally
03:00when I'm like in a room and I'm like, oh, I have my period, everyone's like, shh, like
03:04why are you saying it loudly?
03:06Like say something else, say like, it's my time of the month or mera woh chal raha hai
03:10or one of those things.
03:11But like, I'm like, let's talk about it.
03:13You know, the only way we're going to get the taboo removed or, you know, destigmatize
03:17it is by actually talking about it.
03:20So yeah, I'm really happy to be talking about something and being associated with a brand
03:24that actually talks about something that I believe in so strongly.
03:26I'm going to ask you, have you had like an embarrassing getting stained or something
03:30story?
03:31Oh my God.
03:32I mean, so when I was in school, when I was in like the, when I was like 14 or 15 and
03:38it was like the first few years that I, you know, was dealing with my period and everything,
03:42I was actually, it was my sports day competition and I ran my race and everything.
03:47And I won.
03:48I came second and before they gave us the awards, we had to sit in like on like benches
03:53and wait for the awards to be announced.
03:55So I won the race.
03:56I was really happy and everything.
03:57And then I sat down and then when I stood up to get up to, you know, get the award,
04:02I had stained myself because I didn't know I was getting my period.
04:05And then my friend's mom was like, she came to me and she's like, oh my God, your pants
04:09are stained.
04:10Like go and change.
04:11So I went to the bathroom.
04:12I could hear my name being announced, like on the thing, but I couldn't go to collect
04:15my award because I was so embarrassed.
04:16Like I thought that everyone had like seen the stain.
04:19So yeah, pretty scarring for sure.
04:21And I think each one of us in this room has a story like this.
04:23I remember Saturday ko school mein white uniform hota tha, baaki din ke alawa.
04:28And that white uniform, if you're on your period, my God, it used to be a nightmare.
04:31Always constantly thinking about it.
04:33In every class, you're like, chekkar stain toh nahi hai, chekkar stain toh nahi hai.
04:37You know, that whole exercise, it's, it's so much of a hassle and I think staining and
04:41leaking is something we all struggle with.
04:44So it's really cool to see that.
04:46I mean, I can see that most of the blood on that is already gone.
04:49Even some of your blood has absorbed on this pad.
04:55Let's try.
04:56Okay, wow.
04:57So this is already staining right away.
05:02And that is looking like a wonderful cushion.
05:04The pillow analogy does not leave my mind.
05:09But this is really, really cool.
05:10And I'm so glad to see that, you know, we're getting these innovations and we're getting
05:14things that actually work for our bodies and that fit our bodies.
05:17So yay.
05:18Yay.
05:19Yay technology.
05:20Yay whisper.
05:23So that's how we demonstrated the no gap and the no leak stuff.
05:27And welcome to the launch.
05:29I'm excited you guys are here.
05:33Well, thank you so much, Ananya.
05:34And thank you so much, Dr. Kiptris.
05:35Thank you so much, Ananya.
