00:00It's hard to say who's more excited for the 2025 football season.

00:07The Boilermakers or their new head coach, Coach Odom.

00:10Coach Odom comes to Purdue from University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a program that saw its

00:14best seasons under Odom's leadership.

00:17Purdue Athletic Director Mike Babinski said it was nothing short of remarkable.

00:22To go in there and immediately win nine games the first year, ten games the second year

00:27is one of the really incredible college football stories of these recent times.

00:31Purdue ended the 2024 season without a conference win, but Coach Odom said it's not a rebuild

00:37season.

00:38I do not believe in rebuild projects, I believe in getting the best out of the program and

00:43the guys that we have right now and winning immediately.

00:46Ultimately the goal is to win a championship.

01:13Odom said he's pretty much got his coaching staff assembled, but will announce once any

01:17bowl games that staff may be coaching it are over.

02:19You've got to have people that have a burning desire and a passion to be here, but once

02:25this process began, it was clear that one coach stood out above all when it came to

02:31having that desire to be at Purdue, to lead this football program at this university,

02:36and that was Coach Barry Odom.

02:37My vision for them, not only at my previous stop, but everywhere I've been, is to make

02:43sure when they leave our program that they've got an opportunity to be better husbands,

02:47better dads, better fathers, better sons, and make our society a better place.

02:51We will have a number of guys that will want to follow us from the different stops that

02:55I've been.
