00:00Officials in Buenos Aires had said that there could be further charges in Liam Payne's death
00:06and now we are one step closer to that.
00:09There are documents this morning, according to documents that we pulled down in Buenos
00:13Aires, there are two new people, employees at the hotel, who are going to be called before
00:20the judge next week and that could lead to them actually being prosecuted.
00:26The two people, and I think this is very interesting, after what we found out about Liam's condition
00:33in that final day, and remember we had said they were charging his friend for abandonment,
00:40but after everything we heard about the day, we felt like, well, why wouldn't the hotel
00:46staffers abandon him in his hotel room?
00:48Right, the guys, we watched them, Charles, literally take him by arms and legs.
00:51Yeah, carrying him through the lobby and then locking him in his room.
00:56If Roger knew he was in bad shape, they certainly knew.
00:58Right, and that looks like that's what the authorities are looking at now.
01:03The hotel manager and also the hotel receptionist who called 911, those are the two people who
01:11are now possibly going to be charged.
01:13Yeah, this case is going to get very, very interesting at this point because there seems
01:17to be a shifting of blame to who was responsible, who knew that Liam could have been a danger
01:21to himself and obviously did end up being a danger to himself.
01:24The question is going to be who had the duty to take care of him, and obviously the judge
01:28wants to talk to these two hotel employees who indicated that they knew he was possibly
01:32a danger to himself by these 911 calls, and if that's borne out, were they negligent in
01:38keeping him safe during those critical moments?
01:40My name is Will and I'm from Chicago.
01:43So I personally feel like the hotel staff should have called security.
01:47They should have had someone wait for him either by his room or they should have had
01:52someone physically inside of his room.
01:54I used to work at hotels.
01:56Your whole job is to make sure that the guest is safe and make sure the guest is not a threat
02:01to either himself or to other guests as well.
02:04Now do I think that the hotel should get 100% blame for this?
02:08Honestly, no, because I don't think anyone could have anticipated that things would have
02:13ended the way that they did.
02:15So I do understand why charges are brought to them, but I don't think it's fair to fully
02:19blame the hotel for something that it was impossible for them to predict.
02:25Well, I mean, look, there are a lot of different factors at play.
02:28Are they responsible for his actions?
02:30It's tough.
02:31It's tough.
02:32By the way, everyone that has been charged now, so now there are a total of five people
02:36who are possibly facing charges.
02:39They all have dates before the judge next week, and that's when the judge will decide
02:45whether they go forward with prosecuting them.
02:47So it will be a big day in that case, several big days next week.
02:52Well, we have been doing a lot of investigating in this case, and we have put it all together
02:57in a new documentary, which will be premiering Monday night on Fox in primetime.
03:03TMZ investigates Liam Payne.
03:06Who's to blame?
03:07It premieres, again, it's on Monday night, December 16th on Fox, and the next day it
03:11will be on Hulu.
