00:00The event is called Siembra en Navidad.
00:02It is an event dedicated to promoting the culture of planting in the Dominican Republic.
00:06El FEDA has already been able to plant more than 4 million seedlings in the last few years.
00:12And we want, with the motto, plant your garden, plant your village, plant your city, plant your family, plant the entire Dominican Republic.
00:20We want all Dominicans to become planters,
00:24to plant hope, to plant dreams, to plant trees, fruit trees, wooded trees, forest trees, flowers, fruits, wherever you can plant.
00:32In the courtyards, in the prisons, in the schools, in public places, but also, of course, in the farms, in the plots, and everywhere you can plant in the Dominican Republic.
00:44We have more than 70% of the land that is available to plant, and the FEDA is going to try to plant 10 million trees next year.
00:53What kind of assistance is offered to you, in terms of fertilizer, seeds, seedlings?
00:59We have three main lines.
01:01Plant donation, we have donated, as I announced, 4 million seedlings in the last three years.
01:06Also, training, we have done more than 1,200 training events, and technical assistance or support,
01:13which is what we give through our technicians to each farmer who wants to plant.
01:16Anyone who wants to plant will have a friend in the FEDA to achieve the development of their agriculture and their country.
01:22In a particular way, or at a commercial level of greater magnitude?
01:27In both ways, at the family level and at the business level, agriculture can be produced and it gives benefits.
01:34Because it is not only the benefit of producing money, but also the benefit of producing peace, harmony, family union, and the environment.
01:41How good it is to have a tree in a house, how good it is to have a tree in front of a house, on a street, to give shade and give a healthy environment.
