00:00The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, or PHVOCS,
00:05has elevated the volcano to Alert Level 3.
00:08The agency will also implement precautionary measures
00:12because of the stormy weather, especially if it rains.
00:16Remember that the volcano erupted yesterday around 3 p.m.,
00:21resulting in a voluminous plume of volcanic ash and gas
00:26with a height of 3 kilometers.
00:28The eruption lasted for almost four minutes.
00:32Meanwhile, PHVOCS issued a mandatory evacuation
00:37to residents living within a six-kilometer radius,
00:41as well as to aviation authorities
00:44to warn pilots to avoid flying
00:48or to fly near the volcano summit as a precaution.
