00:00The winner of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here 2024 has been crowned and it was not a surprise really.
00:08Danny Jones, the McFly singer, was crowned King of the Jungle. He got to wear the famous crown, he got to, you know, hold the sceptre.
00:16He was passed the mon from last year's winner Sam Thompson and really it would have been a surprise if he didn't win, to be honest.
00:24He was the favourite before the show began, he was the favourite all throughout, barring like one day in the final week of the show where Colleen Rooney sort of shot up in the odds but then fell back down after that.
00:37And yeah, so, to be honest, it was expected that he would win. He keeps up the McFly streak, which saw Dougie Poitner obviously won in 2011, which that feels like yesterday that he won the show.
00:50I believe it's been 13 years, which, wow. And then obviously Giovanni, Giovanna Fletcher, who is the wife of Tom Fletcher, the lead singer of McFly, also won in 2020.
01:02Harry Judd, the drummer, won Strictly Come Dancing during the 2010s as well, so McFly has quite the streak of winning shows.
01:11Also, if you want to tie it all in, Matt Willis, the Busted-based guitarist, also won I'm a Celebrity back in the 2000s and he was part of McBusted, so that's sort of four McFly-adjacent winners over the years.
01:27Danny finished ahead of Colleen Rooney, who came in second, and then earlier in the finale, Richard Coles was eliminated in third place, which was really impressive.
01:38He really, really sort of won over the public. He wasn't expected to get particularly far, at least according to the odds, but he made it all the way to the final day, so there we go.
