Syrian rebel commander al-Golani seen in Damascus after Assad's exit

Syrian rebel leader Abu Muhammad al-Golani has made a symbolic appearance at the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus (also known as the Great Mosque of Damascus), a historic and religious landmark, following his forces' capture of the capital.

In a televised statement on state TV, al-Golani proclaimed that there would be no retreat from their mission, emphasizing the group's commitment to the uprising that began during the Arab Spring in 2011.
"The future is ours," he declared, signaling the rebels' resolve to shape the next chapter of Syria's history.
