00:00The 37th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair started on Wednesday with a message
00:15of peace for all humanity and a celebration of culture.
00:19His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and
00:25ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the fair, its biggest edition so far.
00:30The 11-day fair, with a collection of more than 20 million books, is running at the Expo
00:35Center in Sharjah.
00:37US President Donald Trump has said that no constitutional amendment was required to do
00:43away with the birthright citizenship.
00:46Trump claimed that this could be done with an executive order bringing his tough stance
00:50on immigration ahead of the crucial midterm elections next Tuesday.
00:55In his latest hardline immigration rhetoric, Trump had said he wanted an executive order
01:00to deny automatic citizenship to children born of non-American parents in the US.
01:06You don't need a constitutional amendment.
01:09I believe that you can have a simple vote in Congress or through an executive order,
01:14he told reporters at the White House.
01:17Harvey Weinstein has blasted a new accusation that he sexually harassed and assaulted a
01:2316-year-old aspiring model more than 15 years ago.
01:27His attorney called the allegation preposterous.
01:30The accusation came in a new complaint filed in New York by the anonymous accuser identified
01:36only as Jane Doe.
01:38She is part of a growing federal class-action lawsuit against Weinstein, which now comprises
01:4410 women who have accused the Oscar-winning producer of sexual misconduct.
01:50The new accuser claims that Weinstein lured her to his New York apartment in 2002 and
01:56made unwanted sexual advances.
