00:09Indian police today cleared protesters trying to stop women accessing one of Hinduism's

00:16The hilltop temple in Sabarimala in the southern state of Kerala was forced by judges to open
00:22its doors to all female pilgrims for the first time.
00:26The Supreme Court in September overturned a ban on women aged between 10 and 50 from
00:32entering and praying at the Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala.
00:36Police broke up the protests at Nilakkal to allow hundreds of devotees, male and female,
00:41to proceed in buses towards the temple.
00:44The final seven kilometres will then be made by pilgrims on foot.
