00:00A mother from Melbourne, Australia is turning healthy food into children's favourite characters.
00:16Inspired by her son Jacob, Laleh Momedi started out by creating delightful works of art out
00:21of her son's meals.
00:23She would transform her son's pancakes into animals such as lion and post pictures on
00:27Facebook.
00:28Even last year I turned my son's spelt pancakes into a lion and he absolutely loved it so
00:32it progressed from there.
00:33And so every night after that he would say, oh mum can you make me say, you know, Buzz
00:37from Toy Story.
00:38So I'd make him that.
00:39So I'd think about, you know, what colours are in Buzz and I'd think about what fresh
00:42produces I could use to create that character.
00:46After receiving an overwhelming response, she decided to create an Instagram account
00:50she called Jacob's Food Diaries to share her designs with other moms.
00:54With over 60,000 followers in just a few months, Jacob's Food Diaries became an instant success.
01:00I have my son involved in every food creation that I make so I get him involved, I talk
01:04about the ingredients and I find that he's more receptive to eating, you know, the food
01:08that we make if he's made it and knows what ingredients are in there.
01:11Recently, Momedi visited Dubai to hold a series of workshops at Inc. and Azarkal Avenue, teaching
01:16mothers how to bring their children's favourite animated characters straight onto the plate.
01:21Irish Eden Beleza for tabloid.
01:26I encourage parents just to have a go, you don't have to be creative, children eat with
01:29their eyes so as long as they see a smiley face they're more likely to eat it than, you
01:33know, just the normal food.
01:35I just encourage parents, just give it a go, it's a bit of fun with your child and yeah, that's it.
