Everton's Sean Dyche discusses the history of the Liverpool rivalry ahead of the final clash at Goodison Park
Transcript
00:00Yes, it's a completely different thing. The depth, the history of it. Most English football
00:07fans grew up knowing about the Mersey Derby. I think it's a different thing. I think it's
00:13my fourth, so having that feel of it, I'm in a way, my better understanding of it, and
00:18more the depth of it. The depth of what it means to the people there. I certainly experienced
00:22that with one last year at home, obviously. People let me know what that meant to them
00:27and it was a great feeling, so we want that feeling again.
00:29Can you use the memories of last year to give the players that extra bit of confidence?
00:34I don't know if it brings confidence, but it certainly must bring belief in what we
00:37were doing, because it was a tough time as well. We'd just come out of a tough period
00:41then and delivered a very good performance against the top side. We've got to do that
00:44again. I think when people talk about confidence, it helps it grow and helps it solidify within
00:53a group, but you've got to have confidence going into every game. I don't think we've
00:57lacked that. It's just those killer moments, the last night we found them. We've got to
01:00go and do that again and find that consistency of doing it. Not just for the Liverpool game,
01:04although that's very important to us, of course, but ongoing after that.
