00:00President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. beamed with pride as he presented government plans to
00:05further boost trade and commerce relations with other nations during his meeting with
00:10the director of the World Trade Organization or WTO.
00:15The chief executive says the Marcos administration has many big plans and if there was an important
00:22lesson they picked up from the conference, it is that transformation is needed and trade
00:28has become more important than ever.
00:31Through the steps taken from the Philippine Development Plan, the country is positioning
00:35itself to become the premier service provider.
00:39In fact, due to the continuous growth of the Philippine economy, now at a pace of 6% per
00:45year, WTO Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala congratulated the country for doing reasonably
00:54under the circumstances.
