A festive fanatic who adorns his house with thousands of lights created his biggest display yet - as a tribute to his Christmas-loving late partner.

Paul Bibby, 59, has been decorating his home in Chelmsford, Essex, with an amazing Christmas light display for the past 18 years.

He strings up over 30,000 lights with 70,000 bulbs as well as huge inflatable festive figures including a snowman and Santa Claus.

Paul lost his partner, Lynda Cummings, 61, this October - and Lynda had loved the feel-good festivites from Paul's decorations.

So this year, Paul's biggest display yet has been dedicated to Lynda, who passed away unexpectedly of heart problems.

Paul is considering making this year his last, and so is determined to make it his best yet - despite the £300+ electricity bill.

To show his love for Lynda, he has implemented a sign which reads 'My lights are dedicated to Lynda'.

00:00Hello, this year has been very hard for me because I lost my partner only a month ago
00:18and I started doing my decorations in October and I got half way then she passed away sadly.
00:24Her name was Linda and I thought what do I do? Do I carry on or not? So I just thought for her
00:32and all the people that love my house I just thought I'd carry on putting them up and here I am.
00:38This year I'm dedicating my lights to my partner Linda who passed away. I also dedicate this to
00:46Essex Air Ambulance which I do for the last five years. I've raised so much money for them
00:51and I think it's a really, really good cause. Everybody should donate to that cause.
01:09Yes, Linda loved Christmas. When I was indoors she would over-decorate the ceiling. She would
01:17cover the whole ceiling in decorations and she loved Christmas. It took me a month,
01:26it took me a whole two months this year. The second half was, I'd done it because I just
01:33thought well I've done the other half so it's just like a mastermind. Once you start you've
01:37got to finish and every day I have 87 switches to turn on and I have about eight big bulbs to turn
01:46on, blow them up every day and take them in every day. I normally love Christmas but this year it's
01:55not been great and yeah but hey-ho I'm here. Yeah I've been doing these flights for 19 years now.
02:04I started off with one little light and I just grew and I just grew and I grew.

02:18got so many perfect, so many lovely comments and just people and then when people come past they
02:25always bid their utah. They must think I'm mad but yeah I just think it's just it's for the people,
02:33it's for the kids because all the kids love love it here and they also get a free candy cane
02:39if when they come. So yeah yeah when you come and see my house you can you can donate through
02:45a mailbox cash or there is a QR code that you can scan, donate, you don't have to donate you
