00:00Those Christmas shopping days are running out, but you don't have to go to the city centre or Meadowhall to find wonderful Christmas gifts.
00:08Instead of heading to the most common places for shopping, we took a bus up to the popular Sheffield suburb of Broomhill,
00:14apparently once home to a Rolls-Royce garage, and found a rich variety of gifts available without having the stress of Meadowhall or resorting to the internet.

00:28Yeah, I think Broomhill's a great place to come to shop because there are all sorts of independent shops, including mine.
00:34Which is your shop?
00:36Good Taste, the Sheffield Fairtrade shop. We sell a variety of Fairtrade crafts and gifts,
00:42and all our profits go to support a charity that puts clean, safe water into rural Nigeria.
00:49And do you have a bestseller around Christmas, usually?
00:53Well, our bestseller probably is chocolate, all things chocolate, but we do sell a lot of Christmas decorations and jewellery and other gifts.
01:05What's Broomhill like as a place to come shopping?
01:08I think it's pretty damn good. We've got plenty of local businesses, we've got a hardware store, we've got plenty of places to eat.
01:18If you want to do your supermarket shopping, you've got plenty of options there. You want to get your hair cut? Great.
01:23You want a night out? There's plenty of pubs to choose from, so you can't go far wrong.
01:29Tell me about your shop. You're a record collector, aren't you?
01:32We are a record collector, yeah. We've been here since 1978. We sell new, second-hand records, CDs.
01:39We sell some books, so we have a good range of stuff for people to choose from.
01:44What tends to be popular with Christmas shoppers?
01:48Classics. We sell so many things, like Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac rumours still go strong, Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon, Taylor Swift, Chapeau Rowan.

02:17Very friendly, very busy, and lots of things to buy.

02:30Yeah, we have several items in this counter that would make a good Christmas present. Radio, headphones, earbuds.
