Battered by relentless rain showers which began around noon on November 30, 2024, I found myself forced to relocate my meager belongings once more; this time, under the indifferent gaze of midnight, I sought refuge under the adjacent supermarket’s awning. 🌧️

Enduring an 18-hour siege of icy darkness, a relentless and haunting presence ceased at dawn, offering a fleeting respite and the chance to return to my position beside my banner. 🌅 However, the area was cluttered with debris, compelling me to cleanse it diligently, using napkins and a borrowed broom from the gas station across the street to dry the soaked pavement. 🧹

Cloaked only in a towel for warmth, unable to utilize my blanket due to the filthy, sodden ground, the biting night’s chill seeped into my bones. 🧣 At 7 a.m., physically and mentally exhausted, I succumbed to sleep, waking around noon only to be confronted by the overwhelming demands of work and a gnawing hunger—having not eaten for 48 hours. ⏰

This acute starvation, an unyielding presence for years, worsened following the demolition of my seventh shelter in late April, casting a long, enduring shadow over my existence. ⛺
