00:00State-run People's Television, or PTV, bagged the best news program in the just-concluded Asian TV Awards held in Jakarta.

00:07PTV beat out TV news outfits from three nations with the largest populations on the planet,

00:13and all the contending countries it went up against have far better GDPs.

00:18But what it lacks in equipment, assets, and financial resources,

00:22PTV makes up for in content, creativity, consistency, and a crew that just won't quit.

00:28And as Floyd Brands reports, there are three words on the minds of the production team right now,

00:33back-to-back.

00:35And the winner is...

00:38PTV News Tonight! People's Television Network and PTV Philippines!

00:43President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. presided over today's NEDA board meeting.

00:49In a ground-breakthrough achievement,

00:51the People's Television Network, or PTV, made history at the 29 Asian TV Awards

00:57held on November 29-30 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

01:01For the very first time, the network won the much-coveted Asian TV Award

01:06taking home the prestigious Best News Program honor for its flagship English show,

01:11PTV News Tonight, signaling PTV's rise to prominence on the global media stage.

01:17The program, competing against seven other top news broadcasts from across Asia

01:22emerged victorious, marking a monumental moment for the network.

01:26We do these things because we have a passion to do our work.

01:34We have a drive to excel and lead a series of citations and awards

01:42that we have been receiving over the years.

01:45Following the award ceremony,
